One of the biggest barriers to purchasing a palletizing robot is uncertainty: "What if we order it and installation drags on for months?" In reality, the WSC-MD series goes from delivery to first cycle in 10–25 working days. This guide breaks down every stage.
📦 Average time from order to first WSC-MD cycle: 5–8 weeks (including shipping from China). For comparison, an industrial robot takes 4–6 months.
Overall Timeline: From Inquiry to Launch
| Stage | Duration | Responsible |
|---|---|---|
| Technical consultation and model selection | 1–3 days | Warsonco + Distributor |
| Quotation and payment | 3–7 days | Distributor |
| Manufacturing and QC | 15–25 working days | Warsonco |
| Shipping (sea freight + customs) | 3–5 weeks | Warsonco / Distributor |
| Installation and commissioning | 5–10 working days | Warsonco Engineer |
| Operator training | 1–2 days | Warsonco Engineer |
Stage 1: Pre-Order Preparation (Weeks 1–2)
01 Completing the Technical Questionnaire
The distributor sends the customer a technical questionnaire. Key data required:
- Package dimensions and weight (L × W × H, mass)
- Line throughput (packages/hour or cycles/min)
- Palletizing height and pallet size
- Package type (bags, boxes, pails, drums)
- Available floor space in the facility
- Availability of compressed air and 380V power supply
02 Model Selection
Based on the questionnaire, Warsonco engineers recommend the model:
- WSC-MD25: up to 25 kg — boxes, pails, small packages
- WSC-MD40: up to 40 kg — 25 kg bags, boxes, coatings
- WSC-MD60: up to 60 kg — 50 kg bags, drums
- WSC-MD80: up to 80 kg — heavy bags, construction materials
Stage 2: Site Preparation (Start on Order Day — Before Delivery)
Before the engineer arrives, the distributor must ensure the customer has completed preparatory work. This saves time and money.
Facility Requirements
- Floor space: minimum 6–10 m² for the robot + infeed zone + pallet zone
- Floor: flat concrete surface, permissible load from 500 kg/m²
- Ceiling height: at least palletizing height + 1 meter (e.g., for 2,100 mm height — ceiling from 3,100 mm)
- Temperature: 0–45 °C (cold-climate package available down to −20 °C)
- Humidity: up to 90% without condensation
Utility Requirements
- Power supply: 380V, 3 phases, 50/60Hz, grounding. Power consumption: 3–5 kW
- Compressed air: 6–8 bar, 5μm cleanliness, ~100 Nl/min flow rate (only for vacuum gripper)
- Internet: Wi-Fi or Ethernet for remote diagnostics (optional)
⚠️ Common mistake: starting site preparation after the robot arrives. This wastes 2–3 weeks. Start preparation on the day the contract is signed — before the order even goes to the factory.
Stage 3: Installation and Commissioning (5–10 Working Days)
Day 1 Unpacking and Placement
The robot ships on a pallet in protective packaging. Unpacking, positioning on the prepared pad, power connection. Duration: 3–4 hours.
Day 2 Mechanical Installation
Robot placement, infeed conveyor mounting (if applicable), gripper installation for the specific package type. Warsonco engineers level and align the unit.
Days 3–4 Connection and Basic Setup
Power connection, compressed air hookup. Initial robot axis setup, entering basic parameters: pallet height, stacking points, palletizing pattern.
Days 5–8 Test Cycles
Trial palletizing with the customer's actual products. Pattern adjustment, speed fine-tuning, alignment with the existing line. Issue identification and resolution.
Days 9–10 Operator Training
Training operators: basic operation, product changeover, troubleshooting typical errors. Documentation handover (passport, operation manual, electrical schematics).
What's Covered Under Warsonco Warranty
- Robot warranty: 24 months from shipment date
- Remote diagnostics: via internet — free of charge
- Engineer visit: by appointment, charged separately
- Spare parts: delivered within 3–7 days (China), 1–2 days (regional stock for standard items)
- Documentation in English: product passport, operation manual, electrical schematics
